A page for your family

Your child wants to build a career in the cloud.
Here is what that actually means.

This page is written for parents, not engineers. No technical words without an explanation, no exaggeration, and real salary figures with their sources. Ten minutes of reading, so the conversation at home can be about facts.

What is this job, in plain words?

Every app your family uses, banking, UPI payments, train tickets, WhatsApp, runs on powerful computers kept in large buildings called data centres. Companies rent these computers instead of buying their own, the way a family rents a house instead of building one. That renting system is called the cloud.

A cloud engineer sets up and looks after a company's systems there: keeping the app running at 2am, keeping customer data safe, keeping the monthly bill under control. When the bank's app works during Diwali sales traffic, that is this job, done well.

It is office work, done on a computer, in India. Many of these jobs allow working from home some days. It is not a call centre, and it is not “computer typing”. It is closer to being the engineer responsible for a power station: mostly calm, well paid, and taken seriously because things break when it is done badly.

Is it a real, stable career?

Yes. Indian IT employs over five million people, and cloud skills are among the shortest in supply. These are the kinds of companies that hire for exactly this work:

TCSInfosysWiproAmazonMicrosoftGoogleAccentureDeloitteHDFC BankAirtelReliance JioFlipkart

One honest caution: the first job is often at a large services company on a modest salary. That is normal and useful. The pattern that works is to take that first job, keep building skills for one or two years, and then move up. The figures below show why the climb is worth it.

What does it pay, honestly?

These are published market ranges for India in 2026, not promises. Where your child lands inside them depends on skill and on the company.

First job (fresher)₹3.5 to ₹6 lakh per year

Typical entry roles: cloud support engineer, junior administrator.

First job, top companies₹10 to ₹16 lakh per year

Large global centres in India pay freshers at this level, but seats are fewer and competitive.

After 3 to 5 years₹8 to ₹20 lakh per year

This is where the growth is. Skilled cloud engineers are promoted or rehired quickly.

Senior (8+ years)₹25 lakh and above

Senior engineers and architects, in India, without going abroad.

“A government job is safer.”

That instinct deserves respect, not argument. A government post offers security that private work does not, and for some families it is the right choice.

The honest comparison is this: lakhs of candidates compete for a few thousand government seats each year, and preparation commonly takes two to three attempts with coaching fees alongside. Cloud hiring runs the other way, more seats than skilled candidates. The security in this career comes not from a post but from a skill that thousands of companies need at once. An engineer who loses one job has interviews at ten others.

And the two paths are not enemies. Some students prepare for exams while learning here in parallel, so that either door opening is a good outcome.

“But my child is not from computer science.”

It does not matter. Companies hiring cloud engineers test what a candidate can do, not which branch is printed on the degree. Mechanical, civil, electrical, BSc, BCom, working cloud engineers come from all of them. The same is true of the college's name: a tier-3 college with proven skill beats a famous college without it. What matters is the work your child can show, and building that proof is exactly what this platform is for.

What does it cost, and how do you check it is real?

Starting is free, no card, no payment details. Your child can learn the foundations and show you real progress before a single rupee is discussed. The paid plan costs less per month than one week of typical exam coaching, and a scholarship exists for families where even that is heavy.

Two ways to verify with your own eyes: sit beside your child while they do their first lesson, the exercises are done right on the page, nothing to install. And every completed course gives a certificate with a code that anyone, including an employer, can check on this website. Nothing here asks you to take our word for anything.

What to do with this page

If you are the student: send this to your family, then show them your first completed lesson. If you are the parent: ask your child to sit with you and do one lesson together. The free door is the honest test.
