Placement season · Wipro
Wipro Elite / NLTH, honestly.
The one with an essay in it
Wipro runs its national hiring under the Elite NLTH banner, and it is the one mass drive where written English is a scored round rather than an afterthought.
The doors, and what they pay
Project Engineer
The standard Elite NLTH offer.
around ₹3.5 LPA
Turbo / higher band
Strong performance on the advanced coding sections.

What the process actually tests
- 1
Aptitude
Quant, logical reasoning and verbal, the usual filter.
- 2
Written communication test
A short essay, scored on structure, grammar and clarity. The round most candidates ignore and lose marks on.
- 3
Coding
Two problems in a language of your choice. Correctness first, cleverness second.
- 4
Interview
Technical plus HR.
The part nobody says out loud
The essay round is free marks for anyone who practises three or four times, and a silent rejection for everyone who does not. If English is not your first language, this is the round to prepare deliberately, not the one to hope for.
How this one differs
The scored written English round. No other big drive weights writing this explicitly.
Service agreement
Wipro has historically attached a service agreement to some offers. Check the exact term and amount in your own letter before signing.
Verify before you plan around this. Pay bands and exam patterns change every hiring cycle, and this page is written from public information, not from inside the company. Always confirm against the official posting.
Last human check: Not yet verified by a human, see the note on this page. Wipro careers
Passing the exam is step one. The ladder after it is the real game.
Every one of these drives leads to a similar first job. What separates people five years later is what they built while the salary paid the rent. The aptitude prep is the same across all of them, so start there.
